Easter At GraceWay
Invite your neighbors to Easter at GraceWay!
We will be celebrating Jesus' resurrection with special music and a guest ballet performance by our local artists, Anastasis. Their Christ-honoring expression of worship is whimsical and compelling, so don't miss out.
It is our birthday!
Did you know that GraceWay Church turns 150 this year? The first meeting of Pleasanton Presbyterian church (now GraceWay) was just 11 people on August 11, 1876, and we want to celebrate!
If you have ideas, or you just love the church, join our Birthday Committee by May 1 to find out how we can honor God and our history for all that He has done through this church over the years.
Created New Kids Event - March 29
GraceWay Kids celebrate Easter in Sunday school on March 29 at 9:45am with crafts, games, the gospel story and an Easter Egg Hunt. Preschoolers and Kindergarten - 5th grade students will explore the story of redemption—a story that began at creation and the fall, climaxed at the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, and continues through all who walk in new identities as God’s children! Easter isn’t merely an ancient story disconnected from our modern reality. The story of Easter reaches into our lives and changes the very core of who we are!
Invite friends and RSVP by Thursday, March 26 at gracewaylife.org/kidseaster to let us know you’ll be there. We can’t wait to celebrate Jesus and his amazing gift of grace and love with you!
Baptism
If you have given your heart to Jesus and are ready to take the next step, fill out the form to learn more and mark your faith with baptism.
Lent Prayer Meeting
Sundays, 3pm, in the Sanctuary
Starting Sunday, February 22 until Easter, we are praying together at 3pm in the Sanctuary. We have access to a good and loving God through prayer. And we have each other to draw us into prayer, pray for one another, and encourage each other to pray. We will be exploring kinds of prayer, praying for others, and meeting together in the presence of God.
PLAN TO PRAY
1. What works for you? Plan a time alone or with a group to pray this season - find a dedicated time and quiet place to meet with Jesus.
2. Submit your prayer requests and read about prayer requests as we list them in enews
3. Pray with your church family, either Friday mornings at 8:30am or Sunday afternoons at 3pm
Let's choose time with Jesus this spring.
CALLING ALL STORIES OF PRAISE!
Has God impacted your life, and you want to share about it? Whether it happened before you were born and led to where you are or it's something that happened this week, WE WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT!
If you are willing to share your story on camera, we want to highlight it at our Good Friday Service (Friday, April 3) to remind our brothers and sisters that Jesus brings life to all who put our faith in Him.
2026 VBS Illumination Station
July 13-17, 8:45am-12pm
All kids, preschoolers (3 years of age and potty-trained) through rising 6th graders are invited to Illumination Station VBS this summer. Kids will have so much fun answering the question Jesus asked his disciples, "Who do you say that I am?". Through games, crafts, music, snacks and Bible stories, kids will discover that Jesus is the light of the world!
Fill out the registration form at gracewaylife.org/vbs and save a spot for your kids today!
We love adult and teen (rising 7th graders-12th graders) volunteers who love to point kids to Jesus! If you are available to serve, sign up at gracewaylife.org/vbs

Smoke Alarm Batteries: A Small Task That Matters
If you have ever been awakened by the chirp of a low smoke-alarm battery in the middle of the night, you know how disruptive it can be. These warnings often seem to appear at the worst times, and can increase when the seasons change. Many people are prompted to check their alarms when the calendar rolls over to a New Year or when clocks change for daylight saving time. We've noticed that temperature swings, the shift from using heat to running the air conditioner, can also reveal weak batteries that suddenly begin chirping.
A simple way to avoid the late-night surprise is to replace the batteries before they fail. Helping H@nds can help you take care of this swap. We will bring a ladder, replace the batteries in your smoke alarms, and check that everything is working properly. If any detectors are aging (most smoke detectors are designed to be replaced every 10 years), even if they still appear to work, we can help you select and order replacements and then install those as well.
If you would like to get ahead of the chirp this season, contact Helping H@nds to schedule a visit.
